Mr. İpek was appointed Consul General in Chicago in 2007. Prior to that, he served in the diplomatic corps of Turkey in countries around the world including Oman, Moscow and London. He is on a two-day visit to Kansas City, during which he will give lectures at UMKC and Kansas City Central Library, meet with Jewish community leaders, as well as with Kansas State and Department of Commerce officials in Topeka. His wish is to also meet with us, TAA-KC members, in an evening of informal conversation and Q&A session.
